Federal Skilled Trades Program

The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) is a program that allows skilled workers with experience in certain trades to immigrate to Canada as permanent residents.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must have at least two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade within the last five years, meet the minimum language requirements in either English or French and have a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification in their skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial authority.

Applicants must also meet other eligibility criteria, such as having sufficient settlement funds, passing medical and security checks, and meeting other requirements related to admissibility to Canada.
